AI disclosure
A lot of people have a lot of opinions on LLMs, otherwise known by the more marketing term "A.I.", or Artificial Intelligence, and a lot of people want to know if you are using them in the creation process for several reasons.
Site content
I do not use AI to write my words, or generate anything visual, i.e. graphics or images. Images I either took the photo myself, made the graphic myself, or used a stock image from somewhere like Unsplash. Medialog artwork is from a mix of iTunes servers and Kagi image search.
Like I said before, I don't use AI to write my content. I think they all make terrible writers for such a thing, just like they all typically make tasteless, lame imagery. Nobody likes "slop", and that's been well established by the general public.
I do use AI to proofread and review my writings, because I see this as the next evolution of spell check and grammar check and I think it's clueless to pretend otherwise. So there.
Building the site
This is a huge one. I am using Claude Code extensively to create this blog, basically top to bottom. I am still reading the dev docs, directing what is being built, and all that jazz.
General stance
Why am I using Claude Code to write all the site code? Because I fucking work 40 hours a week plus (not counting commute times) in an unrelated field and don't have the time anymore to teach myself every single little framework and library and tool just to throw some stuff on the internet. Would you rather I put all my content into some corporate silo? Anyways, if anyone has a problem with this, go solve my aforementioned problem. Then we'll talk.
