Fake Studio

In an effort to keep myself busy with stuff, I’ve set up a very inexpensive, starter production studio (if you can call it that).

I know I’m never going to recoup the cost I’ve spent on this stuff, so I started out as cheaply as possible.

I dumped my anemic laptop for a 2009 Mac Pro, which contains the following:

  • Intel Xeon 2.9GHz
  • 6GB RAM (Need to upgrade to 16)
  • Nvidia Geforce GTX 680
  • 256GB PCI-E SSD
  • 600GB Hard Drive
  • USB 3 PCI-E Card
  • MacOS High Sierra

One of my goals was to stream gaming sessions on Youtube Gaming, so I’m doing that with:

  • Xbox One OG Model That I Had In My Closet
  • Elgato Game Capture HD
  • Blue Snowball USB Microphone
  • Hyper CloudX Headset
  • Logitech c920 1080p Webcam

For music, I’ve got:

  • Garage Band
  • Peavey Sport USB Interface
  • Peavey PXD Vicious II
  • Audio Technica Something Heaphones
  • EZDrummer

For mobile stuff, I’ve got:

  • iPhone 7 128GB (This is also my camera and camcorder)
  • iPad 2017 128GB
  • iOS 11
  • AirPods
  • SteelSeries Nimbus Gamepad

I think all I could use at this point is a green screen, but for now, this works better than I could have hoped!
